Saddle Trials
A saddle trial includes an explanation of saddle construction, saddle fit theory for long term fit, a conformational assessment of your horse, as well as our Step by Step Tutorial, that allows you to understand the fit of the saddle for yourself.
From here, we will start looking at what tree shapes will be appropriate for your horse, in the style of saddle you’re interested in purchasing. We will assess the shape not only in the barn, but also in motion, as the dynamic fit is imperative to finding the right saddle, and the fit can change dramatically when the horse is in motion.
Once we have found the appropriate tree, we will assess the panel, flap and seat needed for both the horse and rider. A saddle trial can include used saddles, new saddles or both depending on your needs.
